Welcome to AffordablePlasmaCutters.com
Plasma Cutters and Plasma / Welding Combo units, the best value for your money. The best warranty in the industry. We even warranty the 'knockoffs'!

During the past number of years since we introduced our Plasma-Tec plasma cutters, TIG welders, and Plasma/TIG/Stick welding combination machines... Parker MP has earned a great reputation. Our quality machines are reliable and are backed with a 1/1/3 years warranty, serviced here in the USA, with after sale customer support that's a toll free phone call away!

At last... inverter technology is making plasma cutting and welding applications affordable!  Now everyone can own a plasma cutter, tig welder or plasma/tig/stick combination!

EXACTLY THE SAME QUALITY AS THE FAMILIAR BRANDS OF NON-INVERTER AND INVERTER MACHINES

The unbelievably low prices on these machines are for a limited time only - so don't procrastinate too long, we are in the process of incorporating new plasma cutters, new features, new options and naturally with the cost of everything rising we are also going to be experiencing the ripple effect on our plasma cutters as well.

What is Plasma - how does it work?

If you are interested in knowing more about plasma and plasma cutters, then the best way for me to describe it to you is to provide you with a link to explain all the science behind it. Plasma cutting and Plasma Cutters are actually very simple machines.  Right-Click on this link which will take you to the Wikipedia web page whereby you can read all about this fascinating technology.  Please remember to right click on this link to open it in a new tab, so you will easily be able to toggle back to this web site to continue with your investigation into affordableplasmacutters.

Check back often and watch for some of the new and exciting products we will be offering.  We are developing some new innovative plasma cutters that will not be available from any other manufacturer, and at affordable prices like we have now.  One of our upcoming surprises will be plasma cutters with ‛selectable - pilot arc’ starting to allow you to use your plasma cutter on a cnc plasma table.

One main difference on a plasma cutter, between high frequency start and pilot arc starting is the ability to cut expanded metal.  With a high freq plasma cutter you do not need to re-trigger the plasma cutter to continue the cut on expanded metal, just hold the trigger and keep going, the high frequency will automatically restart the arc for you if you do not release the trigger.  High freq plasma cutters however are not conducive to being used for cnc cutting as they interfere with the computer.  There are two types of pilot arc starts on plasma cutters which do not interfere with the computer, so that makes it a perfect candidate for use with a cnc plasma table.  The draw back to that though is that with the first type of pilot arc plasma cutter, the arc is started by a switch on the torch head and it only fires once, so you cannot cut expanded metal with this type of pilot arc machine, only metal with a continuous surface.  The other type of pilot arc plasma cutter has a continuous arc which will allow you to cut things like expanded metal, chain link fencing etc.  The draw back to this type is that they are very hard on comsumables (tips and electrodes).

UPDATE! - Feb 2009.........

We have now finalized the engineering for the pilot arc starting capability for our machines.  This is currently available as an option, that MUST be specified at the time or ordering your machine, however it is not quite ready yet.  We have had an issue with the safety feature of the pilot arc plasma torch switch, so we do not want to deliver this option until we have finalized the electronics engineering to include a proper safety to prevent overheating of the plasma due to a torch malfunction.  This information will be upgraded as soon as the safety is finalized.  The pilot arc starting feature is switch selectable between high frequency and pilot arc, from the front panel.  Currently it is necessary to swap torches and cable when switching from one to the other, although we are hoping to be able to design our plasma cutters so that the original high frequency torch head will be able to be used with the pilot arc starting feature, but this is still under design and testing.

Ordering time for plasma cutters like this will have to be quoted by us at the present time, until we have a stock supply built up. Please do not hesitate to call or email us to ask questions about any of this information.

UPDATE! - Feb 2009.........

One of our optional 'very special proprietory features' that we will have available very soon, is the ability to use the plasma cutter for 'engraving' into the surface of a metal plate, as shallow as .005".  This engraving action is similar to how a laser engraving machine works, by reading a .bmp raster image.  This is only available for manual operation at the moment, but cnc control using this feature is on the horizon.  This process uses single pulses of plasma which are fired out of the torch head at a fast rate, which then vaporize a small spot of metal on the surface of the project material.  The resulting action is that the surface of the metal develops a small and shallow semi-spherical divet that has a very high lustrous finish to it. Imagine, eventually being able to use a cnc plasma cutter to cut out parts but at the same time use the plasma to 'engrave' text or some type of graphic image into the surface of the parts, as if it had been machined separately.  Or better yet, take and engrave something as detailed as a photograph, into the surface of a stainless steel or bronze plate and use it for things like a grave marker.  Don't expect the knockoffs to get their hands on this technology, this is good old - made in the USA and it will stay that way.

UPDATE! - Mar 2009.........

But that is not all, there are other goodies soon to be had from our R&D department, along with a newly designed 40 amp plasma cutter, and an optional mig spool gun for all of the welding machines.... we are constantly playing with these machines, testing them to see what we can make them do, and trying to break them.  We are constantly amazed at what we have been able to do with our plasma cutters in the play pen.  These plasma cutters are so robust they even amaze us, for example we have been able to cut 1-1/4" plate with a 30 amp plasma cutter, so we know what they are capable of doing for you.

We have some R&D currently underway for a brand new 'super small' and 'portable plasma cutter' being designed as a specialty item for job site installers, for things like HVAC and similar tasks.  This is proprietory new technology and will not likely ever be available from other manufacturers - at any price - and our price will be very low as I have been told.  This unit will be the first of a totally new series of machines, available NO PLACE ELSE.

Our new line of plasma cutters and welding machines will be branded under our new 'Shop Dog' line of products. We are hoping to have the first of our machines (a small sized, and extremely affordable plasma cutter) off the assembly line by or before summer, so check back to see new additions to this web site.

UPDATE! - Mar 2009.........

We will soon be ready to present the next goodie for our exclusive line of machines.  Very soon, all DC welding machines will be able to be field converted by the user, over to AC/DC machines.  The pricing has not yet been set for this option, but once again we will update the site as more information comes along.

If you have an existing machine of ours, it will be possible to upgrade your machine to incorporate the switchable, Pilot Arc Starting as well as the manual engraving capability.  If you are interested in taking your plasma cutting to the next level, drop us an email with your machine information, tell us what you would like to incorporate and we will give you a quote and estimated eta on the upgrade of your machine.  As much as possible we are trying to make all new innovations field upgradable by the user.

Our current pricing for the 'Engraving Option' (once available) is set at $295 US.  This price includes one of our own Tig Foot Pedals plus the required controller interface which is mounted inside the machine.  It will be necessary to replace the connector receptacle on the front of the plasma case (included).  This is designed as an upgrade that can be done by the user, photos and instructions are included - for those that have an existing machine, or we will incorporate it at the time of ordering for new machine purchases.

The pricing for the Pilot Arc Starting is still not confirmed.  If you are interested in this feature, please email us for an up to date price and delivery quote.  It may be possible for the user to install this them selves, however that feature is still undetermined right now.  The option will be available for new purchases, it is just that this is so new, we still have to resolve a few things about upgrading existing machines.  This web site will be updated immediately as new information is available.

More new and unique developments will be coming your way in the near future, we are working from one thing to the next, driven by customer needs and requests.  Within a very short time, we will have an entire product line that is unique and proprietory, and will not be available from any other manufacturer.  If you want the coolest plasma cutters on the market, you know where to come for them.........

As our valued customer if you have any specific requests that you would like to see incorporated into our plasma cutters, please let us know by contacting us with an email from the link at the bottom of this page, or from the 'Contact Us' page.

Also coming soon will be a free user forum so you can share ideas, projects, photos and information with other like-minded folks.

Keep your eyes peeled........we have lots more developments on the back burner just simmering away, awaiting their turn.......

Please note that we do not sell a specific cnc plasma cutter, although our new pilot arc feature will allow you use our plasma cutter on any cnc plasma cutter table.  Once you have our equipment setup on a cnc table you should be able to compete with any other cnc machine such as perhaps the mg cnc plasma cutter or any other main brand name for that matter.
